Practice Assistant vacancy

We’re looking for a new part-time Practice Assistant to join our team in Gillingham, Kent.

This role, which is critical to the smooth running of our studio, includes administrative tasks and helping with marketing.

What we’re offering

The role is part-time and flexible. You’ll be working between 1 and 3 days per week, either full days or half days. The exact number of hours per week and the days worked will be agreed between us and the successful candidate.

The full-time equivalent salary is £19,000 per annum, calculated pro rata for the number of days worked per month. The full-time equivalent number of days holiday per year is 20 days, again calculated pro rata, plus bank holidays.

About you

We’re looking for someone who is energetic and creative, willing to learn and able to demonstrate initiative. Experience of using graphics packages such as Photoshop is desirable. A background in design and an interest in architecture are preferable but not essential.

These key responsibilities are an indication only. You may also be asked to help in other ways, including supporting the Architectural Assistants and Directors with project-related tasks when necessary.

Key responsibilities – Administrative

Carrying out front of house duties such as answering phones, managing post, etc. Ensuring studio supplies are kept at a suitable level Keeping the studio tidy Coordinating couriers and taxis Collating and calculating timesheets Assisting with accounts and invoice queries Carrying out small errands for the directors

Key responsibilities – Marketing

Preparing and manipulating imagery for our website and social media profiles Recording and editing video content Updating our website, for example adding blog items Posting to our social media profiles Liaising with our marketing consultant Assisting with other marketing tasks as required
