RIBA Stage C to E: Clays designed and obtained planning approval for the full scheme

RIBA Stage F onwards: the new build extension was let as a design and build contract completed by others, the 8-lane athletic track was let to a specialist contractor. 

Clays were retained to complete the refurbishment works, which were let as 10 separate prime-cost contracts carried out while the centre was still largely open to the public.
